Last week, **ChargeLab announced** an initiative to migrate commercial Enel X Way EV chargers to our OCPP-compliant back-end for seamless charging station management. Today, we’re excited to share that dozens of these devices have successfully been moved onto our platform. As the EV charging software landscape continues to evolve, we want to provide more clarity and transparency about this process.
To give you a better understanding of what the migration looks like in practice, watch the video below featuring ChargeLab CEO Zak Lefevre:
### Technical Challenges
Migrating Enel X Way commercial chargers isn’t as straightforward as connecting them to another system. These devices require specific reconfiguration before they can communicate with a new charging station management system (CSMS). So far, ChargeLab is one of the few platforms that has managed to complete this process efficiently and on time.
If you're speaking with another provider about migrating your Enel X Way chargers, make sure they have real-world experience with this exact task and understand the nuances involved.
### ChargeLab’s Solution
Thanks to the hard work of our engineering team, we’ve developed a reliable and fast method to move these chargers over. The process includes backend configuration from our side, along with simple on-site steps that can be done by a technician using just a laptop or smartphone.
Here are some photos from a recent migration at a condo in Toronto:

For drivers, the experience changes too. You’ll now use the ChargeLab web app or mobile apps (available on iOS and Android), or even charge directly from your browser without any downloads.

### Network Migration Progress As of Monday, October 7, we've already started migrating 612 Level 2 and DC fast chargers from Enel X Way's commercial back-end. We expect to add thousands more this week. Our teams are working around the clock to keep up with demand, and we still have capacity to take on more chargers this week. If you're interested in making the switch, don't hesitate to reach out. ### Contact For more information, contact us at: **1 (800) 636-0986 ext. 210**Special Materials Machined Parts
