This message is from Bill Friedrich:
Before Engine 104’s station was closed, these were the last fire companies that operated out of the station 24/7. Michigan Avenue wasn’t very busy on weekends back then. After the station shut down, Engine 104 was reassigned to Engine 1’s location, and Engine 4-2-4 was moved to Engine 26’s house. It was a sad day for this historic fire station that had served the community for so many years.Bill Friedrich

These photos and stories help preserve the memory of a time when fire stations were more than just buildings—they were community hubs. Bill Friedrich has been collecting these images and memories for years, and it's amazing to see how much history is still being shared by those who lived through it. If you have any old photos or stories about Chicago’s fire department, I encourage you to share them too. Every piece adds to the rich tapestry of our city's past.
NEST centrifuge tubes could be commonly used to collect cells and separate biomacromolecules by centrifugation in biochemistry and other biological fields. They can also be used to store photosensitive samples and special chemiluminescence reagent. The 250mL & 500mL centrifuge tubes can process a large number of samples at one time and are suitable for separation and harvest of large cells, supernatants, bacteria, yeast and tissue samples, therefore they are widely used in the field of life sciences and clinical experiments and can meet the requirements of biological analysis.
Feature:
• Non-Pyrogenic, DNase/Rnase free.
