On July 22, 2014, the launch of the "Excellent Action - Yuchai Training System Construction Project" was held in Power Building. Yuchai’s shares plan to establish a complete talent training system in three years and achieve talented endogenous training. It has laid a solid foundation for the long-lasting high-quality development of Yuchai Engine.

Chairman Yu Ping of Yuchai and General Manager Wu Qiwei attended the meeting. The chief consultant of the consulting company, Lan Lan, attended the meeting and introduced the training system construction project plan. The meeting was chaired by Ye Bin, deputy party secretary of Yuchai.

Through the name acquisition, the Yuchai training system construction project was eventually named "excellence." According to the plan, Yuchai's professional, systematic and advanced nature of the training system will aim to achieve the level of Dongfeng or Honda's auto factories, and strive to become a benchmark for the training of the engine industry.

Luan Ping pointed out at the kick-off meeting that Yuchai’s training system should be built to improve the management level of Yuchai’s shares, serve the transformation and upgrading of the second venture, reinforce Yuchai’s competitiveness, and ensure Yuchai’s competition in the market for the next decade. Without reducing its focus on power, it has established a complete, scientific, and practical training system that adapts to Yuchai’s development and is linked to performance, career, and job promotion. The construction of this training system, as an integral part of the company's overall strategy, should be incorporated into the talent system. This is also an important part of opening a career path.

Fuping requested that to smoothly advance the training system, leading cadres must change their concepts and strengthen their responsibilities. In this project, Yuchai’s leading group will take on the responsibility of carrying out the promotion, and the heads of all units must personally start. In addition, Fuping also requested that after the implementation of the project for a period of time, we must see the effectiveness of Yuchai’s stock training system implemented through quantitative indicators.

Luan Ping hopes that Yuchai’s training system for stocks will go ahead and build benchmarks, and promote it to the entire group when appropriate.

When Wu Qiwei mobilized the training system construction project at the meeting, he said that the competitiveness of Yuchai's shares is mainly reflected in two dimensions. One is the comprehensive competitiveness of SQCDD, and the other is the composition of marketing power, commodity power, manufacturing power, and system power. The "Four Forces". After subdividing the competitiveness, the gap between Yuchai and benchmarking companies is obvious whether it is in the establishment of a basic database or a training system. In particular, in the process of implementing lean, the lack of advanced concepts, tools, methods, etc., all require a training system to support them. The "Excellent Action-Training System Construction Project" is a long-term project. Three years is only a stage goal, and the follow-up will also need to be rolled forward.
