At present, the desulfurization system has been put into formal operation. After desulfurization, the flue gas, such as light mist, appears in the blue sky and white clouds, and the high quality gypsum produced after desulfurization is recycled as building materials.
Xingtai Power Generation Company's No. 9 boiler flue gas desulfurization project is an important energy-saving emission reduction and environmental protection project of the company. The project adopts limestone-gypsum wet desulfurization technology, one furnace and one tower arrangement, 100% flue gas desulfurization of the unit, and designed desulfurization. The efficiency is greater than 95%, and the availability of the desulfurization system is greater than 98%. During the construction period, Xingtai Power Generation Company worked closely with the construction and supervision units to overcome many unfavorable factors such as the poor construction environment and successfully completed the construction of the project.
The normal deactivation of No. 9 flue gas desulfurization facilities can reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by 7,500 tons per year, which will play a positive role in improving the environmental air quality in Xingtai and even Hebei Province and promoting the further development of society and economy. At the same time, it marks an important step for the company to improve the surrounding ecological environment and build a clean green eco-power plant.
Shi Chenghui, deputy general manager of the company, calculated an account: Xingtai Power Company's desulfurization investment for units 8 and 9 alone amounted to 195 million yuan. Desulfurization technology accounted for 18% of the unit's investment, and each kilowatt hour would increase by 0.015 yuan. Cost, this is a very substantial amount. Although the economic benefits it generates are negative, for the company itself, it is a project with more inputs than output, but the social and environmental benefits it brings are incalculable.
