**Sealed Bid Opportunity: Surplus Water Tender for Sale** From the Lemont Fire Protection District Facebook page: We are seeking sealed bids for the purchase of a surplus water tender. This 1998 International chassis was originally purchased new by the Lemont Fire Protection District. The stainless-steel water tank was previously used on a 1986 water tender and was remounted to this chassis in 1998. The unit has been in continuous service since then and is now being replaced with a newer model. The water tender is in excellent condition, with only 29,950 miles on the odometer and 3,520 engine hours. It has been regularly maintained by an in-house mechanic. A new fire pump was installed in 2017. All district graphics will be removed prior to the sale, as well as any equipment that may be attached.
