**Sealed Bid Opportunity: Surplus Water Tender for Sale** From the Lemont Fire Protection District Facebook page: We are currently seeking sealed bids for the purchase of a surplus water tender. This 1998 International chassis was originally purchased new by the Lemont Fire Protection District. The stainless-steel tank, which was previously used on a 1986 water tender, was remounted to this chassis in 1998. It has been in continuous service and is now being replaced by a newer model. The vehicle is in excellent condition, with 29,950 miles and 3,520 engine hours. An in-house mechanic has maintained it regularly, and the fire pump was replaced in 2017. All district graphics will be removed before the sale, along with any additional equipment.
