The gradual increase in the cost of new energy buses will not come immediately


New energy vehicles include hybrid vehicles, pure electric vehicles (solar cars), fuel cell electric vehicles, hydrogen engine cars, and other new energy sources (such as high-efficiency energy storage, dimethyl ether) cars and other categories of products. In September 2013, the four ministries and commissions jointly issued the "Notice on Continuing the Work of Promoting and Using New Energy Vehicles," which requires that the proportion of new energy vehicles in new or updated bus vehicles in the demonstration area be no less than 30%. In November 2013, the first batch of 28 cities for promoting new energy vehicles announced that the scale of new energy vehicles was nearly 250,000, including about 60,000-80,000 new energy buses.

However, experts believe that the replacement tide of new energy buses will not come immediately, but will increase the income level of related companies. The pulling of new energy buses will be more reflected in income and profits. The price of traditional buses is about 400,000 yuan, and the price of plug-in new energy buses is 800,000-85,000 yuan. Assuming that the bus industry accounted for 35% of the total, new energy buses accounted for 30%, and revenue growth would increase by 8-9 percentage points over sales.

At present, new energy buses will be able to cover normal costs and profits at a price of 400,000-500,000 yuan after deducting subsidies. The current subsidy includes two parts, state subsidies and local subsidies, which will enable bus companies to obtain higher profits than normal passenger cars. And once new energy buses are put on the market, the cost will drop rapidly and the profit rate will increase significantly.
