How many types of prototypes does Lead Well make?

1. CNC Machined Prototypes
CNC Machined Prototypes are available at LEADWELL in a wide range of hard plastics and metals. Using this technology, we can produce prototypes from real materials rather than simulants. CNC Prototyping is one of our major services in LEAD WELL China. The most commonly machined materials include ABS, PMMA, Nylon, Delrin, aluminum 6061 T6 and 7075 T6, titanium alloy, brass, and steel. Tight tolerances can be achieved by precision CNC machining. Our service is quick, personalized, and low-cost. We also offer various finishing services such as sandblasting, painting, anodizing, mirror polishing, and more. Our engineers can help you determine if a CNC machined prototype is suitable for your project. Typically, STEP or IGES 3D CAD data along with PDF drawings are required for this process.

2. Polyurethane Castings (Vacuum Castings)
Vacuum cast parts produced by us look almost identical to real injection molded parts. This process is ideal for small batch customized plastic parts. It involves first creating a master model via SLA or CNC, then making a silicone mold around it to produce multiple identical polyurethane prototypes. The tool life of the silicone mold is approximately 15 shots. If the master pattern is bulky or thick, or if a high-gloss finish is needed, CNC machining is used. For high-gloss parts, we CNC the master pattern from PMMA (Acrylic) and hand polish it to achieve the desired gloss.

3. 3D Printed Rapid Prototypes
3D printed prototypes are ideal for manufacturing thin-walled and complex small prototypes. If speed is critical, 3D printing is the best option. We provide SLA and SLS prototypes in various plastic materials. SLA prototyping is a fast way to produce ABS-like prototypes. LONGXIANG specializes in delivering accurate SLA and SLS rapid prototypes.
