The Norwood Park Fire Protection District, known as the "Island in the City," has recently taken delivery of their new #Velocity 100â€™ #AscendantTower. This advanced aerial apparatus will significantly enhance their ability to respond to emergencies in the district's many high-rise buildings. The mid-mount platform was specifically selected for its superior maneuverability and improved visibility from the front of the truck, making it ideal for navigating tight urban spaces.

The district covers an area of 6.5 square miles and handles over 4,000 emergency calls annually. It serves a population of more than 25,000 residents, making this new piece of equipment a vital asset for their community.
