Brief Introduction of LPG Spray Dryer:
I. Working Principle and Configuration Options:
The solution, emulsion, suspension, or slurry is sprayed into fine droplets in hot air within the drying chamber. As the droplets fall from the top to the bottom of the tower, the water evaporates quickly, leaving behind a dry powder or granular product. Hot air is introduced from the top, while the material is pumped to the top of the tower using a screw or peristaltic pump. The atomizer breaks the liquid into small droplets, which come into contact with the high-temperature air, causing rapid evaporation. The dried product is collected at the bottom or via a cyclone (depending on the configuration). The exhaust air cools down and increases in humidity before being removed by a fan. Fine particles are captured using different separation devices.
Various types of fine powder separation systems are available, including cyclones, bag filters, and combinations like cyclone + bag filter or cyclone + wet scrubber. The choice depends on the product properties and customer requirements. Additional systems such as secondary drying, cooling (e.g., ZLG vibration fluid bed), formulation, sieving, or dehumidification can be added based on application needs.
