Brief Introduction of LPG Spray Dryer:
I. Working Principle and Configuration Options:
The solution, emulsion, suspension liquid, or slurry is sprayed into fine droplets in hot air, which then fall from the top to the bottom of the drying chamber. As the water evaporates, the material transforms into a powder or granular form. Hot air is induced from the top of the drying tower, while the material is pumped to the top using a screw pump or peristaltic pump. The material is atomized into small droplets through the atomizer. When these droplets come into contact with the hot air, the water evaporates quickly, and the material is dried within a very short time. The dried product is discharged from the bottom of the tower or via the cyclone (depending on the configuration). The hot air, now cooler and more humid, is exhausted by an exhaust fan. Fine particles in the air are collected through various separation devices such as cyclones, bag filters, or combinations like cyclone + bag filter or cyclone + wet scrubber. These systems are selected based on the product characteristics and customer requirements.
Depending on the product properties and needs, additional systems such as secondary drying and cooling (e.g., ZLG vibration fluid bed or pneumatic conveying), formulation systems, or powder sieving systems may be installed after the spray dryer, along with dehumidifiers.
