Electric welder invented "air conditioning vest"

At 10 o'clock on the morning of August 13, Jiangsu Yongda Chemical Machinery Co., Ltd. production workshop, electric welder Chen Songxiang worked in an environment with a local temperature exceeding 40 °C. But he looked relaxed and couldn't feel the heat of the high temperature. "When you put on this 'air-conditioned vest', the temperature will come down in half a minute, not hot at all."
This magical "air-conditioned vest" was invented by Wang Yan, the director of Jincan Labor Protection Products Factory in Tongzhou District, Nantong City for two years. He graduated from junior high school and was originally a welder. Every time there was a high temperature season, there was always heatstroke in the workshop. "If you can put the air conditioner on your body, you can blow out the cold wind at any time." Since then, Wang Yan has developed the idea of developing an "air-conditioned vest."
In 2006, when Wang Yan went online to find information, the Germans used a vortex device in the 1930s to separate compressed air into hot and cold gas and used the separated heating for industrial production. “Can you use the separated cold air for cooling?” Wang Yan bought the air compression pump, developed the vortex tube, and started to separate the cooling and heating body.
Through continuous experimentation and improvement, Wang Yan’s “air-conditioned vest” can now cool down to 19 to 25 degrees Celsius.
The reporter saw at the scene that this "air-conditioned vest" has the same shape as a regular vest. It consists of two shoulder straps and a belt, and the middle is a mesh structure. Wang Yan said that there are many small pipes in the vest. There are small holes in the pipe. After the cold air is connected to the vest, it will be evenly distributed to all parts of the human body through the air holes. The user can also control the temperature via a thermostat.
To a limited extent, this "air conditioning vest" needs to be equipped with compressed air. “General shipyards or construction companies have air compression pumps. Each air pump can be used for multiple pieces of 'air-conditioned vests' depending on the power.” Wang Yan said, “air-conditioning vests” cost about 200 yuan each, this year. More than 5,000 sets have been sold since.
Wang Yan said that he has recently paid attention to the news and saw frequent incidents of death and death of sanitation workers. He hopes to realize the portable and free use of "air-conditioning vest" through independent research and development, and bring more cool workers to cool.
