Ningbo successfully developed high-pressure fluid (foam) metering injection system

Recently, the intelligent monitoring and control technology and application team of the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology under the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has made significant progress in high-pressure fluid metering and injecting equipment, and has successfully developed a high-pressure fluid (foam) metering injection system.
Foaming technology is mainly through physical injection or chemical reaction methods, so that the plastic filled with gas inside, and ultimately the formation of foam. Physical foaming has relatively high cost due to its relatively low cost and no pollution. In the process of physical foaming, the key technology of microcellular foaming is the quantitative and uniform injection of gas and it is relatively easy to melt. The size of the injected gas and the degree of fusion directly lead to the size and distribution density of the foam in the product after foaming. The size and distribution density of the cells directly affect the final quality of the product.
At present, there is no finished supercritical fluid injection equipment in China. The cost of imported equipment abroad is high, and the lack of key equipment directly limits the application of supercritical physical microcellular foaming technology. Therefore, it is urgent to develop a constant pressure constant flow injection system capable of realizing supercritical fluid to meet the demand.
The intelligent measurement and control technology and application team based on the analysis of the requirements for fluid pressurization and metering, compressed air as the power, the use of double pumps in series, segmented control methods, gas preloading, pressurization. The flow of the metered fluid is analyzed comprehensively by controlling the pressure decay within a particular vessel of the fluid and the start-up frequency of the booster pump. After several modifications of the program and tests, it was eventually developed into a high-pressure fluid metering and injecting system with independent intellectual property rights and a cost much lower than that of similar foreign products.
The current injection system pressure can reach 30MPA, pressure accuracy: +/-0.1MPA. Flow range: (0.5ml-8ml)/min, has applied for 4 national patent protection.
