Belt conveyor design process

(a) According to the requirements of the belt conveyor layout, calculate the main geometric dimensions: lifting height, horizontal projection length, curved line segment position.

(b) choose the layout type, and drive method. Change out the sketch.

(c) According to the required delivery volume, select the appropriate belt speed, primary bandwidth, and find out the various resistance coefficients.

(4) Calculate the tension at each point point by point, determine the large tension, and check the small tension with the sag of the conveyor belt and the radius of the concave arc.

(5) Calculate the required motor power of the belt conveyor , check the number of layers of the tape, and select the model specifications of the motor, reducer, drive roller, and upper and lower idler. In friction drive, calculate the belt power of the intermediate drive.

(6) Recheck the actual speed and transport volume of the conveyor belt.

(7) Calculate the initial tension of the tensioning device and select the tensioning device.

(h) Calculate the braking torque of the belt conveyor and select the model of conveyor belt specification .
