The Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Plan Project undertaken by the Institute of Biomass Energy Research, Guangzhou Institute of Energy Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences--the design and research of a biomass circulating fluidized bed for the gasification of hydrogen-rich fuel gas passed the acceptance.
The project was officially launched in 2007. The selection of operating parameters and major structural parameters was determined through experimental studies and computational simulations. It provided a practical theoretical basis for the design of a circulating fluidized bed gasifier; a set of 8 to 15 kg was established. A bio-fluidized-bed oxygen-enriched gasification unit, which purifies and reforms crude synthesis gas, can greatly increase the hydrogen content.
