Ningxia comprehensively cleans up preferential energy prices for high-energy-consuming enterprises such as caustic soda

Pursuant to the “Circular on Clearing Preferential Electricity Prices for High-Energy-Consumption Enterprises” issued by the National Development and Reform Commission, the State Electricity Regulatory Commission, and the National Energy Administration, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has recently begun to fully clear the preferential electricity prices for high-energy-consuming enterprises, and Efforts have been made to increase the implementation of differential pricing policies for the eliminated enterprises, and to implement punitive tariffs for ultra-energy products.
Ningxia continues to implement differential electricity prices in eight industries including electrolytic aluminum, ferroalloy, calcium carbide, caustic soda, cement, steel, yellow phosphorus, and zinc smelting, and further raises the differential tariff price increase standard. The price hikes imposed by the restricted companies will be raised from the current level of 0.05 yuan/kWh to 0.1 yuan/kWh, and the price hikes imposed by the phase-out enterprises will be increased from the current 0.2 yuan/kWh to 0.3 yuan/kWh.
Ningxia also imposes punitive tariffs on ultra-energy products. The punitive electricity price shall be imposed on the energy consumption limit per unit product of national and regional regulations. Exceeding the quota standard is more than doubled, compared with the implementation of the expulsion class price increase standard (0.3 yuan/kWh); if the quota is less than double the limit, it shall be implemented in accordance with the limit price increase standard (0.1 yuan/kWh).
