He said that the traditional coal chemical industry such as coke, calcium carbide, etc. will face structural adjustment, and the development prospects of modern coal chemical industry are promising, but the technical bottleneck urgently needs to be broken.
Hu Qianlin, deputy secretary-general of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, believes that in the context of emerging energy industry development, clean coal utilization technologies such as alcohol ether fuels will become important alternative energy sources like wind and solar energy. However, the development of the alcohol ether fuel industry also needs to address such issues as lack of standards, advances in the development of additives, and inadequate policies.
