I took these photos after the fire at the Camelot Banquets in Hickory Hills. It's a heartbreaking loss for the family, as the building was recently renovated. While I was taking pictures, the owners' family arrived to assess the damage. They were also in the process of boarding up the windows. The center of the building suffered significant damage, including a large hole in the structure. From what I remember, that area might have been the kitchen or near itâ€”though my memory is a bit fuzzy, as it's been over five years since I last visited. The place was known for its excellent Polish cuisine, and I hope the family can rebuild soon. A big thanks to my friend Caroline Juchas for sharing her photo.
