The first 10,000-ton ethyleneamine project will be put into operation soon

The reporter learned from the Development and Reform Commission of Yichun City, Jiangxi Province on December 21st that Jiangxi Wanfeng Chemical Co., Ltd.'s 10,000-ton/year ethylene amine project won the support of 4.2 million yuan in investment subsidies for major high-tech industries in Jiangxi Province in 2009. The grade ethyleneamine project will be commissioned in January next year.
According to Ge Liangming, general manager of Hurricane Chemical, this 10,000-ton device uses a new process for the catalytic synthesis of ethyleneamine developed by Hurricane Chemical. Compared with existing foreign technologies, the energy-saving and emission-reduction effect is outstanding, and the energy consumption of the product can be reduced by 70%. The investment is only 1/3 of the old process, the total yield of ethyleneamine product is greater than 95%, and the product purity is above 99%. The new process also achieved the recycling of catalyst, ammonia, waste water and by-product sodium chloride, and the cost per ton of product could be reduced by 4,000 yuan. After the project is completed early next year, it will change the situation that China's ethyleneamines products are 100% dependent on imports.
It is understood that the catalytic synthesis of ethyleneamines is a key scientific and technological research project undertaken by Hurricane Chemical in Jiangxi Province. The 100-ton/year pilot project was successful in the first half of 2008 and produced qualified ethyleneamine products. , and through the identification of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Experts believe that the use of the company's self-developed catalyst catalyzed synthesis of ethyleneamine series products compared with the traditional production of products, has a strong market competitiveness, can replace imported products.
On this basis, the 10,000-ton ethyleneamine project was formally launched in August 2008. It completed the preliminary work of project approval, environmental assessment, and safety evaluation in October of that year. In September of this year, Hurricane Chemical Co., Ltd. also cooperated with the world’s top 500 companies—Korea Aeking Oilification Group. The construction of the 10,000-ton ethyleneamines project has now come to an end.
