It was learned from the Brazilian Vale Company that Vale has recently signed a contract with Dalian Huarui Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. of China for the supply of port and bulk material handling equipment worth 600 million yuan. The equipment will be used in Vale. Port facilities in Malaysia.
Dalian Heavy Industry will deliver nine large ports and bulk handling equipment to Vale by October 2013. It is reported that this is also the largest amount of single bulk material machinery equipment export contract that Chinese exporters have obtained so far.
Dalian Heavy Industry and Vale have been collaborating on multiple material yards and port projects since 2008 and have become one of the most important direct suppliers of equipment in Vale. With the signing of the latest contract, the total amount of Vale's purchases from Dalian Heavy Industry in the past four years has reached 2 billion yuan.
In recent years, large overseas mines have emphasized that cooperation with China is not limited to ore trading, and there are more and more equipment procurement cooperation business in China. According to Vale, the total amount of Vale's purchases from China has exceeded RMB 19 billion so far .
