Daqing Petrochemical Research Institute won two patents

The Daqing Petrochemical Research Institute has recently achieved two significant breakthroughs with the development of the "Fischer-Tropsch Synthetic Radial Reactor" and the "Synthetic Gas Conversion to Dimethyl Ether Shaft Radial Two-Dimensional Flow Reactor." Both innovations have been granted national utility model patents, highlighting their technological value and practical application potential. The Fischer-Tropsch radial reactor features a single-layer radial fixed-bed design that significantly improves heat transfer during the exothermic Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process. This structure ensures a uniform temperature distribution across the catalyst bed, effectively minimizing issues like surface carbon buildup and localized hotspots. The reactor is capable of handling high gas velocities, allowing the reaction to proceed under optimal kinetic conditions close to chemical equilibrium. As a result, it enhances both the conversion efficiency of raw materials and the utilization of the catalyst, leading to increased production capacity and energy savings. On the other hand, the synthetic gas-to-dimethyl ether reactor uses a two-dimensional flow design, specifically tailored for dimethyl ether synthesis using a bifunctional catalyst. This reactor offers excellent temperature control during the reaction, ensuring even heat distribution and efficient heat transfer. It also supports high gas velocities, making it suitable for large-scale industrial applications.
