Five people died in a sulfuric acid plant in Kunming and 32 were injured

According to briefings, at 3:52 on the 13th, Yuntianhua International Chemicals Co., Ltd. Sanhuan Branch sulfuric acid plant sulphur loading and unloading process, and triggered a fire. After firefighters and on-site police tried their best to fight, at 8 a.m. that day, the fire caused by the explosion had been completely extinguished. The environmental protection department has detected that the ambient air conditions around the accident site are normal.
According to a preliminary investigation by the safety supervision department, the accident was caused by deflagration during the removal of sulphur from the sulfur melting section. As of 14:00, the injured have been sent to the relevant hospital in Kunming for treatment. Two missing persons are still searching.
