Ignition fuel

The fuel for ignition is gaseous fuel and liquid fuel, and solid fuel can also be used.
There are blast furnace and coke oven gas fuel coal gas mixed gas or coke oven gas alone (coke oven gas extraction wherein H 2 gas is called Linde). The calorific value of each cubic meter of coke oven gas is as high as 6.8 million joules (4000 kcal), and it takes about 5 to 10 cubic meters per ton of sinter. Mixed gas ignition generally requires a heating value greater than 5.88 million joules (1400 kcal), otherwise the ignition temperature is not met. The calorific value of blast furnace gas is only 3.3 to 4.0 million joules (800 to 950 kcal) and cannot be used alone. Natural gas can be used in areas with natural gas, and its calorific value is 33.6 to 35.7 million joules (8,000 to 8500 kcal).
The converter and blast furnace gas have low calorific value and can be mixed with coke oven gas. Natural gas and coke oven gas contain high H 2 and CH 4 and are flammable and explosive. Blast furnace gas converter gas and producer gas contain high CO, so pay attention to gas poisoning.
Liquid fuel heavy oil ignition can be used when the gas fuel supply is tight. Igniters that use heavy oil are similar to gas igniters. Heavy oil requires heating, filtration and compressed air atomization equipment (used by Donganshan Sintering Plant). Heavy oil has a high calorific value, and 5 to 6 kg of heavy oil is required for ignition per ton of sinter.
In addition to chemical composition and calorific value, the viscosity, flash point and freezing point of heavy oil are also considered.
The viscosity was measured by an Energometer. The ratio of the time that a certain amount of heavy oil is discharged from the Ernst viscometer to the time that the same amount of pure water flows from the same viscometer is indicated by the symbol °E. The greater the ratio, the greater the viscosity of the heavy oil. The viscosity of the heavy oil depends on the grade of the heavy oil and the temperature of the heavy oil. The smaller the viscosity of the heavy oil, the better the fluidity and the more flammable-burning. Before heavy oil is used, it should be preheated (according to the grade) 70~140°C, and the viscosity of heavy oil used is not more than 15°E.
Flash point is an indicator of the safety of heavy oil use. The flash point is the lowest temperature at which the oil produces a flash of fire (ie, the ignition temperature of the oil vapor), and the flash point is too low to explode. In order to ensure the safety of oil storage and oil transportation, the flash point is not lower than 70 °C.
The freezing point is the temperature at which the liquid fuel becomes solid. The heavy oil condensation point is generally 15 to 35 ° C, which is convenient for oil storage and transportation, and the condensation point should be lower.
With pulverized coal firing, have been used in Jinan Iron plant, which is part of the gradual improvement of the control.
