Johnson Controls Romania's new seat factory inaugurated

Johnson Controls recently announced that it has officially opened a new seat factory in Craiova, Romania, which will supply parts for Ford Motor Company's local automaker and supply a full range of seat systems for Ford's new B-Max van. .

Johnson Controls invested a total of 10 million euros (about 13.07 million US dollars) to build a new Romanian seat factory, which is built next to the Ford plant and will employ 160 new employees.

Johnson Controls currently has a seat assembly plant and five seat parts factories in Romania. Johnson Controls recently acquired the automotive business of Romania's Spumotim, including two polyurethane foam factories.

Ford plans to produce 60,000 B-Max models at its Romanian plant this year and 100,000 to 150,000 B-Max next year.
