Liugong's first milling machine successfully landed

On December 21, 2005, the company marked another significant milestone with the launch of its first milling machine. The CLG568 asphalt cold milling machine was a key project under the 2005 capital increase and share expansion initiative. This model represented a major breakthrough, as it filled a critical gap in the market. It was not only the most technologically advanced product in Liugong's history but also the most complex in terms of design and engineering. The mass production of this machine became an essential part of the company’s 11th Five-Year Plan. In the global context, milling machines have been in use for over 40 years, while in China, their production has spanned nearly two decades. These machines are widely used for maintaining and repairing high-grade roads, municipal roads, airports, and public squares. They enable road resurfacing, repairs, and trench milling, making them essential for both asphalt and concrete pavement construction. With the rapid development of China’s road network and the increasing demand for efficient and high-quality road maintenance, the need for advanced machinery has grown significantly. However, the domestic market has long been dominated by imported equipment. The CLG568, developed by our company, is equipped with cutting-edge technologies such as an ultimate load control system and a precise milling depth control system. With a total power output of 400KW and a milling width of 2 meters, its performance and reliability match the top standards in China. Its strategic pricing gives it a strong competitive edge in the market. The CLG568, independently developed by our team, began assembly at the end of October 2005 and was completed within two months. It features a powerful Deutz V8 engine rated at 400KW, the most powerful engine ever used in Liugong products. It also marks the first use of the VG engine in the CLG series. The hydraulic system is one of the most sophisticated in Liugong’s history, consisting of four plunger pumps, nine plunger motors, twenty-four hydraulic cylinders, and over forty stacking valves. Additional systems include the walking mechanism, conveyor system, cooling system, and auxiliary components. After more than 50 days of intense effort by engineers and production staff, the machine was finally assembled, tested, and successfully launched—a meaningful gift for the company ahead of the New Year.
