Michelin tires become the new BMW M6 original tires

The Michelin Pilot Super Sport - the world's fastest civilian tyre 1 in the track test - will be the original tyre of BMW's most versatile M6 sedan. This tire inherits Michelin's experience on the track, especially the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The unique combination of the three technologies will start from the summer of 2012. The BMW M6 will be exclusively equipped with advanced Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres. This tyre has a unique combination of three technologies: Twaron® cover, tread compounding technology and variable Grounding 2.0 technology. Twaron®: 5 times higher skid resistance than steel fiber Twaron® overlay is a high density fiber that is primarily used in aerospace and military protection equipment. The main feature is its high skid resistance.
