Still & Box Alarm fire in Chicago, 1-31-19 (more)

I took this job on Thursday afternoon, and the temperatures were still below freezing after a record-breaking cold day the day before. The CFD was sending a third engine to all working fires to help deal with the numerous frozen hydrants. In this case, it looked like the two closest hydrants were actually in working condition. They were just a few minutes away from going defensive when I arrived. The tower ladder was positioned late in the fire after moving the first-due truck and the second engine, which was already hooked up to a hydrant. The crews really suffered from the extreme cold.
