In the next five years, the Graz bus system will replace approximately 90 buses.
A press release issued by Graz Holdings said that China will provide two 18-meter-long trams and charging piles, and the Austrian side will bear the costs of circuit connection and station reconstruction. The test tram will drive on the 5km long bus line 34E, and Graz Energy will build a charging station at the terminal and in the middle.

The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CRRC Ningbo Industrial Base in Hungary. According to the contract, the test project will be officially opened on October 15, 2016 for a period of one year. After that, the Austrian side will decide the winning bidder based on the test results.
