Recently, Fujian Benz Auto Industry Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall, and decided to recall the period from October 20, 2014 to December 23, 2014. A total of 156 Mercedes-Benz Weir 636 series and Lingte 900 series cars were produced.
Part of the recall range is equipped with imported four-cylinder diesel engine vehicles. Timing chain tensioner gaskets of different materials may be used during part of the production period. As the engine running time increases, the chain tensioner and the engine block The pre-tensioning force between them drops.
After a long period of use, engine oil may leak from around the timing chain tensioner. When the oil leakage reaches a certain level, the instrument warning light will be triggered. Continued driving may cause the engine to stall. In addition, if a fire source occurs at the oil spill, the risk of fire of the vehicle may increase and there is a safety hazard.
Fujian Benz Auto Industry Co., Ltd. will replace the improved chain tensioner sealing gasket for the vehicles within the recall range to eliminate safety hazards.
