At the CONEXPO 2014 Construction Machinery Expo held on March 4-8, 2014, more than 180 exhibitors from more than 70 host equipment plants used Cummins Power. To date, over 400 engineering machinery supporting projects have used Cummins' new-generation QSF series 2.8-liter QSX series 15-litre Tier4Final off-highway engines and their after-treatment systems to meet the most stringent nearly-zero emission standards in Europe and the United States.
There was an eye-catching Tornado Intercept Vehicle (TIV2) on the CONEXPO 2014 Cummins booth, equipped with a Cummins turbocharged engine. This is the weapon of the famous director Sean Casey (Seam Casey), is a series of documentary "Question Channel: Storm Hunter" and Sean's IMAX film "Tornado Hallway" is an important equipment. Since 2008, this special armored vehicle has traveled along the Great Plains of the United States along with Sean and collected data for researchers as a mobile science laboratory while shooting extreme weather. TIV2 weighs about 6804 kg, is hard-working and durable. After the CONEXPO exhibition is over, TIV2 will return to the Great Plains to prepare for the interception of the next storm.
