Working fire in Chicago, 1-2-19

Here are some photos from a working fire that took place this morning at the corner of 90th and Marshfield. The firefighters made a heroic effort to save the family dog, performing CPR for over 15 minutes, but unfortunately, they were not successful. It's heartbreaking to see such a brave attempt and still face such a difficult outcome.

It’s always sobering to see the work that firefighters do in these situations. Their dedication and bravery are truly admirable. While the outcome was tragic, the efforts of the crew show how much they care about saving lives—human or animal. These images give a real sense of what happened on the scene, and it's clear that everyone involved did their best under extremely difficult circumstances.
