Fire in Chicago 2-flat 8-10-13

I responded to a fire around 1:30 PM on Saturday afternoon in Chicagoâ€™s 23rd Battalion. The fire was on the second floor of an empty 25x40 two-flat located on the 7200 block of South Constance. The companies involved were Engine 126 and Truck 49, Engine 72 and Tower Ladder 34, with Truck 16 and Battalion 17 serving as RIT. It was tough to get good shots due to the narrow streets and dense tree coverage. The fire was brought under control quickly, but the crews had a lot of overhaul work to do and stayed on scene for just over an hour. Notably, Engine 126 was using Engine 56 as a backup rig.
