Inner Mongolia wind power grid-connected installed capacity exceeded 8 million kilowatts

The latest news from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Economic and Information Commission: As of the end of October this year, Inner Mongolia's wind power grid-connected installed capacity exceeded 8 million kilowatts, reaching 8.136 million kilowatts, an increase of 96.30% over the same period last year.

From January to October, the amount of wind power generated in Inner Mongolia was 12.998 billion kwh, an increase of 94.16% year-on-year. In October, the wind power generation amounted to 1.494 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 52.90%, an increase of 20.5 percentage points over September.

As of the end of October, the installed capacity of power plants with 6000 kilowatts and above in Inner Mongolia was 58.606 million kilowatts, of which wind power grid-connected installed capacity was 8,136,300 kilowatts, accounting for 13.9%; and the amount of power generated was 214.396 billion kwh, of which wind power generated about 6%.

The total reserves of wind energy in Inner Mongolia ranks first in China, and the amount of technology that can be developed reaches 150 million kilowatts, which accounts for about 50% of China's land. Inner Mongolia is one of the provinces where wind power generation was used earlier in China. After the construction of the Huitengxile wind farm in 1996, wind power was gradually industrialized and commercialized.
