On February 18th, Mr. Yoshikazu Watanabe, Senior Vice President of Nissan, visited the Dongfeng Motor Corporation along with a delegation that included Li Sangang, Assistant General Manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., Li Changgang, Assistant to the General Manager of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., Mao Changlin, Director of the Body Factory, Jin Mouzhi, Deputy Director of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., Fang Yong, and Ma Pengtao. The visit focused on a detailed work diagnosis at the body factory.
During the visit, Watanabe toured key areas of the body factory, including the Science and Technology Exhibition Hall, the Assembly and Welding Workshop, and the Interior Second Workshop. He listened to a comprehensive work report delivered by Mao Changlin, the factory director. Based on his observations, Watanabe praised the overall performance of the body factory but also provided constructive suggestions for improvement, particularly in the areas of on-site visual management, employee workflow optimization, and line-side inventory control. His insights were supported by Nissan experts such as Takahashi Keizu, Takaoka Yanghai, and Kaneda Akira, who each shared their own recommendations during the session.
Li Sangang expressed deep appreciation to Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. for hosting Watanabe and his team, highlighting the value of the joint diagnostic efforts. He emphasized the importance of continuous improvement and collaboration between the two companies.
It is reported that Watanabe’s SVP visit will continue with an in-depth work diagnosis across multiple departments within Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. This follows previous visits to the Xiangfan Plant of Dongfeng Limited and the Bus Chassis Company of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle. The team will further inspect other factories under Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle and conduct a thorough review of the Wuhan base of Dongfeng Limited. This series of activities reflects a strong commitment to quality, efficiency, and mutual growth between Nissan and Dongfeng.
