Second, the appropriate lubricant should be selected and appropriate additives added to improve the lubrication of the main bearing of the ball mill. The main bearing of the ball mill is characterized by large load, large linear velocity, and shock and vibration; the size of the bearing bush and the hollow shaft are also large, and the shape, dimensional accuracy and surface finish are further improved by manufacturing and other conditions.

Therefore, the main bearing of the ball mill generally cannot guarantee complete liquid lubrication, but is in a boundary lubrication state. Good boundary lubrication (depending on the performance and strength of the boundary film) can significantly reduce the coefficient of friction and reduce the wear of the bearing pads. Therefore, first of all, we must select the type of lubricant according to the temperature, the linear speed of the hollow shaft journal and the load on the main bearing.

Secondly, since the working temperature of the main bearing of the taper ball mill is higher than that of the feed end, the load is also large, so it is considered that the main bearing of the discharge end is made of a lubricating oil with a larger viscosity. Stearic acid polar additives should also be added to the main bearing lubricant to increase the strength of the boundary film to prevent the boundary film from rupturing. At the same time, it is necessary to determine the use of lubricating oil according to specific conditions.

Third, establish a global inspection system for grinding machines. The ball miller should regularly check the oil temperature, oil quality and oil quantity of the main bearing of the wet ball mill. Especially when the temperature of the main bearing is not normal, the inspection frequency should be increased. If an abnormality is found, it should be reported in time. In the production practice, there are two kinds of situations that are most likely to cause major accidents of burning tiles: First, the bolts of the main bearing upper cover fixed to the scraper are loose, which causes the oil scraper and the fixed oil ring to dislocate, so that the lubricating oil can not be scraped. And through the oil sump drenched on the hollow shaft journal, causing the bearing bush to lack oil and burning the tile; second, due to impurities such as dust and the main bearing base return oil passage, the fixed oil ring can not be stirred from the base oil chamber. It can also cause burnt tiles due to lack of oil.
