The quality of wheat and its storage quality are greatly affected by the viscosity of wheat. The viscosity of the wheat is always low, and as the storage time is extended, the quality of the wheat is gradually reduced and it is not desirable to store it, while the viscosity of the Australian wheat is very high. In order to have a systematic understanding of the influencing factors of wheat viscosity, it is necessary to determine the viscosity of different varieties of wheat. The grain viscometer plays an important role in the determination of wheat quality.
In the whole test of viscometer for grain movement, the difference in viscosity between Jiamai and Aomai was significant. From the viewpoint of keratin, Jiamai is a hard wheat and Aumai is a soft wheat. Our library is mainly used in local wheat. The ratio of hard wheat to soft wheat was compared. According to the requirements of GB/T 5493-1985, full hard wheat, mixed 70% hard wheat, 30% soft wheat, and 50% hard wheat were used respectively. With 50% of soft wheat, mixed with 30% of hard wheat and 70% of soft wheat, full soft, ground into powder for comparative tests.
The measurement of wheat viscosity by the grain kinematic viscometer concluded that according to the characteristics of grain storage, both the imported wheat and the locally-produced wheat will decline in quality after being stored for a period of time. Undusted wheat has a certain difference from the viscosity of dust-free wheat, and its content will also affect the viscosity, but the impact is not great. From the results of different keratin content tests, it can be seen that the proportion of hard and soft wheat will affect the viscosity of wheat, and the impact is greater. Therefore, it is not appropriate to use viscosity to determine whether different varieties of wheat are suitable for storage.
